Life update: Another goal achieved!

I posted a blog last September 2020 about "How I manage my finances," and mentioned on that blog that our goal that time was to fully pay our house loan and that we're eyeing 3 - 5 years time.

The Good-est News!

We managed to pay off our house loan first week of June 2021! It didn't even take a year! We feel so blessed, we finally have a home that we can really call our own. The bank can't chase us away now.

When my husband and I have some extra money from bonuses - especially, last Christmas, we made sure to save it, and do a lump sum payment to the bank the next month. I've been imagining the moment that we finally get our land title back. But it'll take 30 - 45 banking days before we can collect those files (title and mortgage cancellation). That's perfectly fine for me because when I last checked my online banking, there's no more House Loan on the list.

Apartment on the way!

We have started planning for our apartment soon in Cubacub, where my husband used to live. We already met with our Architect last Saturday and she has shown us the schematic design of the apartment. We haven't signed the contract yet because she needs to make adjustments to the number of floors in the apartment. She will just send us an updated, soft copy of the contract in the coming days/weeks. I am so excited for our apartment that I even dreamed of it last Sunday, in my dream, we were visiting the newly "finished" constructed apartment. We plan to start construction on March 2023.
