No, I'm not that old yet, but I wanna share this anti-aging tips that I've learned from reading some articles online.

Muscles

If you don't want to look very old, exercise! Gain more muscle mass! Because if you have more muscles, it will make you look young because your skin is firm and tight. If you don't use your muscles, you will eventually lose it, and it will cause your skin to sag. Thus, making you look old. Muscles help in increasing the facial volume thus counteracting the effects of aging. Time for some face exercises as well!

Sunblock

Apply sunblock everyday even though you won't go outside. Most of us only apply sunblock when we go to the beach. Nope. The sun's ultraviolet rays aren't the only harmful thing that can damage our skin. Our computers, our cellphones, our lights - it can damage our skin too. So apply sunblock daily. Use the one with PA+++, and at least 30 SPF. I'm not really an expert of sunblock, but I remember that those are the minimum to get your skin protected. It can reduce getting skin cancer, and it can also reduce the chance of getting sunburned.

I stopped applying sunblock on my skin when I got pregnant, I was afraid some of the chemicals will get to my baby. But I'm back to wearing sunblock now.

Before when I was working in the office, there were few times that I went out without wearing sunblock, I can really feel the scorching heat of the sun under my clothes. But when I wear sunblock (all over my body), I don't feel the heat of the sun that much. So I always try to wear sunblock whenever I go out. Instead of lotion, I put on sunblock. I use the spray one because it's convenient, and I can easily spread it all over my body.

Dentures

I know, it's too early to mention this. But you might remember this post when you get older. What happens if we lose all of our teeth, or most of them? It's important to get dentures, it helps you looking youthful. How? When we lose our teeth, there's nothing to hold our skin now. Over a long period of time, the jawbone which now has missing teeth will think that it is no longer needed, so it will start breaking down the bone, and shrink. So eventually, it will cause our skin to sag and cause facial collapse. Look at this picture:

So make sure to visit your dentist at least twice a year so we can "prolong" and protect our teeth. Let's hope that we still have them even when we're old. But if we lose them all, we can always ask our dentist for some dentures.
